So remember in my last post how I mentioned my eye exam and how the optometrist noticed some specs in my eye that could be me showing signs of pre-diabetes…no….that’s OK you can read about it in the link above. Anyway…went do the doctor and she was not as concerned about the pre-diabetes because she was more concerned that it could be due my blood pressure. I have had normal readings every time I was at the doctors and even this time when I went. However they had me monitor my blood pressure at home for 2 weeks and turns out it’s high. No big deal, I have been working out, eating healthy and even have lost 21 lbs. Currently on a mild water pill to help control it as I am losing weight and getting healthier. I go in for my yearly physical this upcoming Friday and I am sure we will be talking about it some more. Little annoyed that my blood pressure has decided to rear its ugly head just as I am getting healthier again.
I have been hitting the gym 4-5 days a week. It’s been awesome. I train with a personal trainer 2 times a week right now and I am sure that is a big reason I have had so much success so far in my journey to a healthier me. I have upped my cardio time from 12 min to 50 min. over the last 2 months. This weeks goal is to up it another 3 minutes. My trainer even suggested I up my calorie intake because I have been working out more and burning more calories and that my body thought I might be starving and holding onto the fat. I was eating 1500-1900 now I am eating 1900-2100 a day. Over the last 2 weeks its been a total loss of 7 lbs. I say its working. I’m just going to keep on keeping on.
